Second Exhibition of Works by Selected Artists: TAKAHASHI Kiyoshi “The polysemy of words”

The exhibition series Kyobashi Art Wall: Start the Future From Here will take place from March 8 to 19, 2023, featuring an exhibition by Kiyoshi Takahashi, whose work was chosen in the second selection of outstanding works. In addition to video works related to Poster, a work displayed on the temporary enclosure at the Toda Building construction site, this exhibition will feature new works dealing with visual extensions of language. This is the first exhibition in Tokyo by Takahashi, who is based in Sapporo.

TAKAHASHI Kiyoshi

Takahashi Kiyoshi was born in Hokkaido in 1974, lives in Sapporo and is active in Japan and abroad. He creates video installations and sculptures relating to “words and images.” He was awarded the Young Magazine Encouragement Award in 1995, the Big Comic Spirits Effort Award in 2000, the Grand Prize at the JR Tower Art Box in 2010, and the 3rd Hongo Shin Memorial Sapporo Sculpture Prize in 2020. Since 2012 he has been engaged in the planning of contemporary art projects. In 2015 he founded the general incorporated association Projecta.
